Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Ahlookin.com ("Ahlookin"). Ahlookin.com is operated by Ahlookin Digital Marketplace Ltd, a company registered in Trinidad and Tobago. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, mobile site, and platform services (collectively, the "Platform").

By using Ahlookin, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Platform.

1. Who We Are

Ahlookin is a marketplace that connects people looking for services ("Clients") with skilled individuals and businesses offering them ("Providers"). We are not a contractor, employer, or party to any agreement between a Client and a Provider. Providers are independent contractors and not agents or representatives of Ahlookin. Ahlookin is not liable for their acts, omissions, or representations.

2. Eligibility

To use Ahlookin, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Be based in Trinidad and Tobago

  • Use the Platform for lawful purposes only

3. Your Responsibilities

Whether you’re a Client or a Provider, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information

  • Keep your login details secure

  • Treat others on the platform with respect

  • Use the platform only for genuine service requests or offers

We may suspend or remove your account if you breach these terms or misuse the platform.

4. Providers

Providers must:

  • Be legally able to provide the services they offer

  • Complete their profile honestly

  • Honour bookings and provide professional service

  • Understand that all jobs are arranged directly between them and the Client

Ahlookin does not guarantee Providers will receive leads or income.

5. Clients

Clients must:

  • Post genuine service requests

  • Provide accurate details about the job

  • Treat Providers fairly and respectfully

Ahlookin does not guarantee the quality, skill, safety, or conduct of any Provider. Please use your discretion.

6. Payments, Fees & Credit Policy

  • Payments for deals or lead credits are processed through WiPay. We don’t store or access your card information.

  • Once a deal or lead credit is purchased, it is non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  • Providers are responsible for any taxes or reporting related to their income.

  • If a Provider is suspended due to negative reviews, frequent cancellations, no-shows, or policy violations, any unused lead credits will be paused. If reinstated, credits may be restored. If permanently removed, credits will be forfeited. No refunds will be issued.

7. Disputes

We encourage Clients and Providers to resolve issues directly. If a matter cannot be resolved, you can contact us at support@ahlookin.com, and we’ll do our best to guide the situation.

However, Ahlookin is not responsible for disputes, damages, or losses arising from agreements between users.

7A. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ahlookin, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the Platform

  • Your services, job requests, or content

  • Any breach of these Terms

This indemnity does not extend to claims resulting from Ahlookin’s own gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

8. User Content & Conduct

By using Ahlookin, you agree not to:

  • Use someone else’s account or share login details

  • Post spam, fake reviews, or offensive/illegal content

  • Collect or use user data without consent

  • Attempt to damage or interfere with the platform or its systems

  • Copy, scrape, or replicate Ahlookin’s platform for commercial use

You represent and warrant that you own or have the right to use any content you upload, and that it does not infringe on the rights of third parties. You remain legally responsible for your content.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

9. Intellectual Property

Ahlookin owns all rights to the platform’s design, code, branding, and features. You may not copy, reproduce, or resell any part of the Platform.

If you upload or post content (including reviews, images, or profile information), you grant Ahlookin a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for marketing, promotional, or operational purposes.

10. Platform Access

We do our best to keep Ahlookin up and running, but can’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Updates or maintenance may affect availability.

11. No Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." Ahlookin makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant or guarantee:

  • The quality, safety, or reliability of Providers or Clients

  • That the Platform will always be secure, error-free, or available

  • That disputes between users will be resolved to your satisfaction

Nothing in these Terms affects rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection laws.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Trinidad and Tobago. You waive any objection to proceedings in these courts.

13. Listings, Pricing & Commission

All service listings, promotions, or special offers created by Providers are subject to review and approval by Ahlookin.

Ahlookin reserves the right to:

  • Set or adjust fees, commissions, and pricing structures at any time

  • Reject, remove, or reclassify any listing or promotion

  • Introduce premium or curated offerings managed exclusively by Ahlookin

  • Apply commissions or fees on any booking, service, or promotion facilitated through the Platform

Providers may not use the Platform to bypass fees, commissions, or policies. Any attempt to circumvent Ahlookin’s systems may result in suspension or removal.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Ahlookin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

  • Ahlookin’s total liability to you for any claim, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of TTD 1,000 or the total amount you paid to Ahlookin in the 12 months before the claim.

This limitation applies to all claims, including those brought by third parties.

15. Data Security & Breach Disclaimer

We take reasonable steps to protect user data. However, no platform can guarantee 100% security. By using Ahlookin, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • We cannot be held liable for unauthorised access, data loss, or breaches beyond our reasonable control

  • We follow industry-standard practices, but residual risk remains

  • You use the Platform at your own risk with respect to data security

16. Compliance With Law

Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Platform. Ahlookin reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where unlawful or fraudulent activity is detected.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our Platform grows. If we do, we’ll let you know. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, and Review Policy, represent the entire agreement between you and Ahlookin regarding the use of the Platform. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Survival

The provisions on indemnity, limitation of liability, intellectual property, governing law, and data security shall survive termination or expiration of this agreement.
